The right preset means accurate verdicts — golden hour conditions are useless if you're after fog.

1. Drop a pin or use GPS to set a location.
2. Save it. Optionally group into folders.
3. Tap the bell to enable notifications. Pick your minimum tier and lead time.
4. When conditions hit, Vantage pings you — early enough to plan the drive.
5. Use Plan a trip on any saved location for drive time, prep, walk-in and alarm calculation.
Nothing happens unless you save something. Until then, Vantage is a quiet observer.
One last thing — get out anyway
Vantage is a planning aid, not a verdict. Some of the best photographs ever made happened in conditions a forecast would have called "average."
Don't let a Tier 3 or Tier 4 rating keep you home. Light changes by the minute. Fog forms where models miss it. A walk in flat grey can still find the frame.
You'll never regret going out, but you might regret staying in.

Cloud Inversion
This preset checks the atmospheric conditions that produce cloud inversions — low cloud layer, stable air, high pressure and moisture.
However, Vantage cannot assess elevation. Cloud inversion requires your shoot location to sit above the cloud layer. This is entirely dependent on local terrain and your elevation relative to the surrounding valley floor.
Always combine this forecast with your own knowledge of the landscape.
